They say every journey begins with a first step. Well…. here’s my first step into this new-to-me new world. Never thought I would blog about anything, but I want a spot to post photos of the quilts I have made, and this seems like a great venue.
I made a New Year’s Resolution for the first time in a long while this year. I decided to finish a quilt a month for the year. Easy enough. The quilt doesn’t have to be made from start to finish; finishing a work in progress counts too. But any more than one quilt a month does not count for the next month. Just wanted to see if I could make the time. So far I’m a month behind. Just need to put binding on August’s quilt. And finish one for September. Which is on the quilting machine. Which broke. Again. This time my fingers weren’t under the needle. Promise. Hopefully it will be up by the end of the week.
Anyway. This is the quilt that started the year off. It went to a silent auction for a Boy Scout event. I have done at least two more of these this year. Fun and easy to do. Great way to use up the scraps.
I can’t find any photos of the February and March quilts. Having a hard time remembering that far back. Gonna ask the hubby if he remembers. And my mother-in-law. I’ll post more photos next time. And hopefully find my missing February and March pin-ups. Thanks for spending your time with me.
